The Akta Lakota Museum & Cultural Center has a membership program through which visitors and other interested parties may become a part of our vision for the future of the Lakota children we serve. Akta Lakota means "to honor the people" and the museum — not only honors the Lakota people, but also serves as an educational center for the Lakota children at St. Joseph's Indian School. Through education and appreciation for the Lakota heritage, the children learn to take pride in who they are as a people and thus begin to dream of greatness.

As an outreach program of St. Joseph's Indian School, the Akta Lakota Museum & Cultural Center operates entirely on private contributions; you can help today by becoming a member of our Vision Quest!
